After experimenting, playing the piano over and over, testing different musical cues and ideas—you rarely know how or when it happens—but suddenly, one of them just feels right. That’s the moment you find the path.
The entire score revolves around two main melodic motifs (leitmotifs) that evolve alongside the journey of the protagonist. Through them, we discover her most emotional and vulnerable side—her search for meaning—and, on the other hand, her moments of rage. These two motifs intertwine constantly, shifting between her inner emotional world and her outbursts of anger.
This is the main theme that captures Lara’s rage — her inner storm. It’s raw, intense, and constantly on the edge, mirroring the moments when her emotions take control and everything she’s been holding back finally erupts.
Lara’s emotions are her moments of sadness, searching & contemplation
moments even of love and kindnes
And these are the moments where her two sides merge — emotional states filled with pain, confusion, even moments of love or compassion, that gradually turn into rage.
Other themes, other emotions.
